Our Mission Statement

The goals of the Thomas W. Middleton Civil War Roundtable are simple.

It is the intention of the membership to perpetuate and preserve the ideals, the stories, the patriotism and the history of the veterans of the American Civil War. We intend to preserve through electronic and photographic means the stories and pictures passed down of these "boy" soldiers.

It is our further intent to preserve future photographs, relics, stories of both the North and the South that come to us for preservation through the Ocean County Historical Society, our sponsor.

We will perpetuate the history through discussion and research and preserve that period of our History with the same pride that our forefathers had for the American Revolution. Right or wrong, it is part of our heritage and as such should be preserved and the lessons still to be taught, should be taught as it occurred.
